Specifications include, but are not limited to: Stairs - 1. Fabricate and install three (3) new replacement stairs. Two (2) from the ground floor to the first floor and one (1) from the second floor to the third floor all in the concrete burn building. 2. Demolition and disposal of the existing stairs 3. Stringers will be C12x20.7 4. Serrated grating treads 5. Pipe hand railings attached to the building match existing 6. 1 1/2” round tubing 3 line safety guard railings post and horizontal with a 42” height to the open side of the stairs 7. Treads will be bolted onto the stringers using high heat resistance bolts. Safety Railing - 1. 1 ½” tubing post and 3 line horizontal safety railing 42” high, Hot galvanized coating installed around roof line of the 2 story side of the building. Max span will be 6’. 2. Railings will be mounted with anchor bolts to the concrete roof. 3. Base of railing at roof will have a 6” high by ¼ thick hot galvanize steel plate welded to posts to prevent tools from falling off roof. A 1” space will be made for rain water to drain. Location will be front and back of building. 6 4. Safety chains will be installed so aerial ladders and ground ladders can be placed so firefighter can have access to roof, one (1) on the front and one (1) on the back roof lines. See existing building. Safety Gate - 1. One (1) Safety gate that will be hinged and lockable, made of the same safety railing material as above will be added to the opening on the parapet, of the 2-story side of the building. 42” high with hot galvanized coating. Burn Pits - 1. Metal burn pit repair 2. Repair two (2) burn pit metal ceilings to make safe. Doors / Windows - 1. Inspect / repair / replace any metal door or window that is not opening or closing correctly.
